ECM International's involvement with Thomson Consumer Electronics began well over two years before construction started on this 650,000 s.f. facility. ECM assisted with site selection, and procurement, environmental studies, construction document preparation, bid process, and contract awarding. ECM then became the project manager for the construction and commissioning.

As project manager, ECM's team of experienced professionals assisted in every phase of development for Thomson Televisiones de Mexico in Cd. Juarez, including meeting with government officials at the local, state, and federal level so all necessary permits were issued in a timely manner. ECM’s construction phase services consisting of scheduled meetings, progress reporting, construction scheduling, pay down scheduling, quality control programs, material inventories, pay applications, and start-up provided one source of responsibility for the construction and commissioning of this very complex manufacturing facility.

ECM’s experience in Mexico made this a very successful project from beginning to end. This is one of four facilities that ECM built for Thomson, and continues to be a repeat client.
